High Performance Acoustic Panels for Noise Reduction
The engine nacelle and engine components significantly influence the acoustic performance of the "aircraft engine" system. The inside surfaces of these components are specially designed or treated to work efficiently as sound attenuators. Honeycomb sandwich structures with perforated inner skins and septa are most frequently used.
