Time to market and producibility are crucial factors in maintaining a competitive position in today's industry.
Engineering tasks require intensive cooperation with our customers and suppliers, a permanent and rapid exchange of data and information to achieve time-saving procedures and swift progress in the project work.
FACC has used concurrent engineering concepts since it entered the aerospace industry. Concurrent engineering enables FACC to meet the most stringent requirements in the shortest possible lead time.
In order to meet the demands of all our customers and their diverse design and analysis tools, more data processing tools have been installed in engineering.
In the area of design this includes CATIA V4, V5 and Unigraphics. For numerical analyses methods (Finite Element Method) PATRAN/NASTRAN as well as I-DEAS and MARC/MENTAT are used for stress analyses of the components. For analytic analyses, the software tool MathCAD is used, the evaluation of composite analyses will be performed using ESAComp. ENOVIA, GILDA, VPM, TAKSY, GRESS and GRAMS are used as an interface to the customers and FIBERSIM (Laserfiles) is applied for the lay-up of the components. In order to ensure the integration of data and their consistent traceability, an SAP-based Product Lifecycle Management Tool (PLM) has been introduced.
