FACC is a leading company specializing in the development, design and manufacture of composite components and systems for civil aircraft. We offer a wide range of products, from aircraft fairings to fuselages and wings, engine and engine nacelle components and complete aircraft cabins. The two divisions Structures and Interiors occupy top positions in their respective markets.

Competence

FACC excels in its role as a systems integrator and covers the entire value added chain of modern supply production - from conception to design, including static engineering and qualification, to tool design and manufacturing and full serial production. Our strengths lie in our creativity and flexibility in undertaking new development projects together with our full and precise adherence to the high quality demands of our customers.

Customers and Markets

We work for all major aircraft manufacturers, such as Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier, as well as their 1st Tier suppliers and aircraft engine manufacturers. Today, FACC is active throughout the world, and has been successfully involved, from the outset, in the currently most prestigious aircraft development programs worldwide - Airbus A380, A350 XWB and Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

FACC's remarkable success is also reflected in its export quota - exports make up almost 100 percent of its sales. Main export markets are USA, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, England, Japan, China und Australia.

As an innovative provider of composite components and systems, FACC is keeping pace with technological trends. In the future, the use of composite materials in aviation will grow drastically. While the portion of composites used in airplanes presently amounts to 15%, the portion in the A350 will be about 45 %, and in the 787 approaching 50%.

Over the past years the company has recorded above-average growth, which is liable to accelerate further in the future. Since our establishment as a company, the size of our workforce has also grown constantly.

Our company has adjusted promptly and swiftly to changes in the aerospace industry and to the new needs of customers. Our high level of competence in the field of new developments and systems supply ensures us an outstanding position among our competitors.

Certifications

FACC is licensed by the Austrian Civil Aviation Authority as a:

  • Production Organization in accordance with EASA Part 21 Subpart G
  • Maintenance Organization in accordance with EASA Part145

In addition to the approval from the Austrian Civil Aviation Authority, FACC maintains a Quality Management System in accordance with both international standards and its customers' requirements:

  • EN/AS9100 (Design, Development, Production, Installation and Servicing) Certification by CRB (Certified Registration Body)

The Performance Review Institute (PRI) gave FACC the approval for:

  • Nadcap - AS7118 for Composites
  • Nadcap - AS7114 for Nondestructive Testing
  • Nadcap - AS7108 for Chemical Processing

Awards:

  • 2008: The Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC/ AVIC Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd. awards FACC the „Silver Medal Supplier Award" for the development and manufacture of the ARJ21 passenger cabin.
  • 2008: The Austrian Research Promotion Agency awards FACC with a Prize for Research
  • 2006: Goodrich Aerostructures names FACC Supplier of the Year.
  • 2006: FACC gets the VEMAP Award 2006 for innovative SPEND MANAGEMENT.
  • 2006: The state prize for innovation from TMG and the government of Upper Austrian goes to FACC.
  • 2004: Vought Aircraft Industries awards FACC with the "Preferred Performer Program" in gold.
  • 2004: FACC receives the AMS award for "Women in Technology". This is given to Upper Austrian firms that do an outstanding job of hiring women for technical positions.
  • 2004: The European Nuclear Research Center awards FACC with the ALICE Industrial Award for achievements in connection with the ALICE research project.
  • 2004: At the JEC Composites Show in Paris, FACC receives the JEC Award, given for the development of new and innovative products, processes or applications in the composite sector.
  • 2002: Vought Preferred Performer Program.
  • 2000: FACC is named "Boeing Supplier of the Year".
  • 1999: "Jobs through Innovation", given by the Research Advancement Fund for Industry (FFF) to companies that pursue technologically advanced research, and in doing so, create jobs.
  • 1998: FACC receives the Pegasus 98 in gold.
  • 1997: The Pegasus 97 in bronze goes to FACC. This is awarded to the best companies in Upper Austria by the Upper Austrian newspaper OÖ Nachrichten in cooperation with the Raiffeisenlandesbank, the state of Upper Austria, the Chamber of Commerce and the Industry Association.
  • 1997: Boeing names FACC a Preferred Supplier.
  • 1997: The Research Advancement Fund for Industry (FFF) gives FACC the "Success through Research" award.
